Don’t get too excited — I’m not a Video Artist, Editor, or Animator. But I have had the opportunity to delve into the realm of Creative Directing and crafting engaging motion content. Although my experience in this field may be limited, I am capable of crafting basic yet effective video engagements.
For this Allstate video project, I collaborated with Mode Project Animation in Chicago and my internal team.
The objective was to simplify the complex details of our Partner Products into engaging and concise animations. In this particular case, the focus was on Pet Insurance.
Together with my team, we decided to employ a one-take style that seamlessly transitions from one real-world scenario to another, capturing a "day in the life" experience.
We carefully considered the use of title cards to convey information effectively, catering to viewers who may be watching with or without sound. When it came to Pet Insurance, we took special care to ensure that the storytelling approach did not evoke fear or sadness when addressing sensitive topics such as cancer care or emergency treatment.
While working with Dennis Quaid as Esurance's spokesperson, we took advantage of a break during commercial shoots to organize and film a collection of fireside readings featuring authentic customer reviews.
By combining these readings with simple animations and music, we produced a series of videos for our social media platforms and website.
The response to these videos was remarkable, with robust engagement and overwhelmingly positive feedback from our audience.
